Have you ever think about what happened when you lost of your phone or someone stolen your android phone ? Your valuable information is in the other hand. However in my previous article i wrote about How To Encrypt Your Android Phone but this thing is not the full solution.
if you lose your Android device associated with your Google account, you can use Android Device Manager to remotely locate and factory reset your phone or tablet.
Open your Google Settings in your Android phone.

Now tap on the Android Device Manager.

now it will open your Android Device manager windows. After Enable this option, you are able to Erase all your data , Change the Screen-Unlock Password and Lock the Screen. Click on the Activate option to activate this option in your Device.

Now choose both option “ Remotely locate this device " and "Allow remote lock and factory reset” .

Sign in to your Google Account on https://www.google.com/android/devicemanager. If you’re using a Google Apps account, you will sign in to your My Devices page.

Presently i am in Bhubaneswar (India) and it's showing my correct location on my android device manager.
Now here i have the option to Ring my Device for five minutes in full voulme , Lock and Erase my device data.

Hello Friends, today i'm talking about how to download and run backtrack 5 on android devices.

Download and Run Backtrack on Android Devices:

Requirements:


  • 1. Rooted Android Device with Busybox Installed.
  • 2. Download some apps from Android Market like Android Terminal Emulator and androidVNC.
  • 3. 7zip (for PC), for extracting the files around 3.3 GB free on internal sdcard (/sdcard/)
  • 4. Download Backtrack from here.

File Setup:

You need to do this only once,

  • 1. Download the files from the links provided in this thread.
  • 2. Extract the files using 7zip to a temporary folder (needs 3.3GB free on that drive)
  • 3. Connect your SGS2 to PC and mount USB storage.
  • 4. Create a folder named 'bt' (without quotes) in the root of your sdcard and copy the bt.img in that folder.
  • 5. Also place the file bt5_sgs2_shell_scripts_v2.zip in root of sdcard, this file has to be flashed via recovery.
  • 6. Once you verify that the above is correct then un-mount usb storage.
  • 7. Reboot into recovery and flash the file bt5_sgs2_shell_scripts_v2.zip stored in root of sdcard (or if you are using 4 app then just select the file for flashing and the app will do the rest)
  • 8. once ur phone reboots into OS just check the /sdcard/bt folder.
  • 9. Final directory structure should look like this:
  • /sdcard/bt/bt /sdcard/bt/bt.img /sdcard/bt/installbt.sh /sdcard/bt/startbt /sdcard/bt/stopbt
  • 10. Once you verify that the above is correct then you can proceed.
Launch BackTrack 5:

 

 1. Start Terminal Emulator app on your SGS2 and enter the following commands step by step (accept/allow any SuperUser request/popup that you may receive)
su
cd/sdcard/bt
sh installbt.sh
startbt
bt

2. Now you are in BackTrack5 shell.

3. To launch GUI (vncserver) enter the command ui.



now note the number N shown localhost:N
e.g. as u can see from the above image that "New 'X' desktop is localhost:1", so N=1
the vncserver is running at (5900 + N, N=1 ; so server port is 5901)

4. Now launch androidVNC app on phone and fill in the detials as follows:
Nick : bt
Address : 127.0.0.1
Port : 5901
Password : 12345678
Username : <leave it blank>
Color Format : 24-bit color (4 bpp)

Inside vnc window select input mode (i personally recommend the following)
TouchPad (here your screen works like a big touchpad use it to navigate mouse.)

5. Then press connect, now you are in BackTrack GUI!

6.if you want to exit/close BT5 then u need to follow these steps:

close the androidVNC app (Menu > Disconnect)
Go back into Terminal Emulator app and enter the following commands
you should be at this shell root@localhost:~#
killui
exit

now you will get back to this shell> #
now enter the following commands to stop bt and exit
stopbt
exit
exit

you can now exit the Terminal Emulator app
i would also recommend that u reboot your android phone.

But the wait seems to be finally over for Android users because Total Commander is closing in on its official release. Total Commander is a handy file explorer that can be lauded as a first-of-its-kind effort in Android spheres as it brings the concept of dual-pane file exploring on your smartphone/tablet along with some of the most sought-after file management tools. Since the good old days of dual-pane file explorer programs for desktop operating systems, users have become accustomed to using similar interface for efficient and quick file transfer and management among various directories. So far though, Android users had to resort to single-pane file explorers on their devices to maneuver files and folders – something that demanded ample time to switch between source/destination directories. The hectic and tedious routine demanded a change that has finally been provided by Total Commander. The app opens to a home screen packed with multiple features and shortcuts to the most frequently used folders including the SD-card folder, photos folder, downloaded files, file system root and installed apps folder. Dual-pane option is available in both portrait and landscape orientation but its usage is bit different for each mode. When viewed in portrait mode, users can switch between panes by tapping on the three arrows appearing at the top-left or top-right portion of the screen, depending on which pane is being viewed. Or, they can simply swipe left/right across screen to toggle between panes. The two ‘equal (=)’ signs can be tapped anytime to view exactly the same directory in both panes for easy file sync.

However, it is the landscape orientation that allows users to avail the dual-pane feature of Total Commander the conventional way (side-by-side). Users can easily make a pane ‘active’ by tapping on the preferred pane or by tapping on the arrow provided in the task bar below. File selection in Total Commander is even easier. Tap on the icon/thumbnail of a file to select it. You can select multiple files at once in this manner. To open a file, just click on its filename. After selecting preferred files, users can perform routine file management functions such as copy, move, rename, delete, paste and create a new folder.
Moreover, Total Commander supports APK file handling, multiple languages, encrypted ZIP and RAR files, built-in text editor, one-tap home screen access, integrated help, full-screen without the notification bar, advanced search tools, configurable task bar with host of options and much more. Selected files and folders can be copied or moved by feeding in the destination directory manually or via in-app directory list. Total Commander also supports files/folders sharing via Bluetooth.

The file sharing and cloud storage space is very crowded, but many users still find it perfectly manageable to use two or more services at once. Cloud aggregator apps make this all the more easier and there’s a fairly large number of such apps available for just about every platform. CloudCube is yet another cloud aggregator app for Android that allows you to connect your Dropbox, Box, Google Drive, SkyDrive, and Yandex Disk, letting you access files in each account from a single app. Users can not only browse and save files from these accounts to their local storage, but also upload files to any one of the connected accounts. CloudCube lets you upload individual files or entire folders at once and has a dedicated tab for monitoring file upload activity. The app indexes all files on your cloud and local storage and offers a central search feature that allows you to search for files and folders from the connected storage accounts.

After installing the app, the first thing you want to do is connect your cloud drives. Tap ‘Available storages’ to add your first account, and the actions button at the bottom to add additional accounts after that. You can switch between different account by opening the navigation drawer. For each account, you can enable two-way upload/download as well as automatic sync, and also manually download new files added to an account to your local storage.

Files can be opened in apps that support their format, and can be renamed, downloaded, moved to another folder, or deleted.

Once you’ve queued files for upload, you can continue browsing your cloud storage and the uploads will continue in the background. To view upload progress at any time, go to the ‘Activity’ tab. The search and index features can only be accessed from the app’s Home tab.

There is little to manage in the app’s settings other than the language and cache folder. It also lets you backup the app’s settings to a file on your device, as well as import settings from a file. A reserve backup for any of the cloud accounts can also be created.

How To Bypass/Disable Pattern Unlock On Android via ADB Commands

Pattern unlock is one of the many device protection mechanisms available to Android users, and there are quite a lot of people out there who actually rely on said method to secure their devices from unauthorized access. The problem, however, arises in case you forget the pattern that you set to unlock the device. Worse yet, there could be a situation where your friend may have tried to play a prank on you by setting a pattern lock that you are completely unaware of. The question is, how does get out of such tricky situation without suffering any headaches? Seems like XDA member m.sabra has the answer – more than one, in fact. The dev has come up with a couple of very effective computer-based solutions in this regard that let you easily bypass/crack pattern unlock on any Android device. The only caveat in employing both said solutions is that they require ADB to be installed on your computer, and USB Debugging enabled on your device. Although both methods are known to be working with rooted, as well as non-rooted devices, employing them on a rooted device is likely to yield more fruitful results. Past the break, we’ll be taking a closer look at both solutions in detail.
First things first, and you must have good knowhow of installation and use of ADB.
To toggle USB Debugging on Android 4.0 and higher, navigate to the Developer options on the general settings screen. On non-ICS devices, said option can be found by navigating to the Settings > Applications > Development screen.
Provided all prerequisites are in place, here’s what you need to do in order to nullify pattern unlock on your Android:

Method 1

  • Connect your device with the computer via USB cable
  • Open Command Prompt and key in the exact code as displayed below:
adb shell
cd /data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases
sqlite3 settings.db
update system set value=0 where name='lock_pattern_autolock';
update system set value=0 where name='lockscreen.lockedoutpermanently';
.quit
  • Reboot your device
  • You may now unlock your device providing whatever pattern you like

Method 2

If the above method doesn’t work, try using the following code instead:
adb shell rm /data/system/gesture.key

After rebooting, unlock your device using ay preferred pattern. As evident from the above, neither method disables the pattern unlock. Instead, they just nullify the pattern order on the lock screen.
Both methods have successfully been tested using a combination of HTC Desire Z (running CyanogenMod 7.2) and Windows 7 (64-bit Edition), and a good thing about these solutions is that they work independent of, as well as in tandem with, each other, so no harm in deploying them both simultaneously. Once you regain access in to the OS, head over to the system security settings, reselect your preferred unlock method, and you’re good to go.
Special Note: The purpose of this guide is to help users with employing an effective pattern unlock bypass solution only on their own devices, instead of using it for malicious (read: unethical) purposes. On the other hand, it begets the need to keep USB Debugging disabled on your device if and when not required in order to be on the safe side.

So, that’s an great news for the HTC Explorer users. Now, they can enjoy Custom ROMS, Root only applications, and Root Browsing. Finally a rooting procedure is available for the HTC Explorer. In this article we will be covering how one can Root his HTC Explorer device easily. 

Note: Please, note that after Rooting your HTC Explorer, the warranty of the device will be voided and you would have to re-install the Stock-Rom of the device in order to get the warranty back, so take a backup of your current ROM and then proceed further.
Caution: The steps which are included in this guide are very risky and can even brick off your mobile phone. Unless you are aware with Custom ROMS, Firmwares and ODIN, don’t even try these things on your mobile phone.

Pre-Requisites To Root Your HTC Explorer

  • Charge your mobile phone so that it would be having more than 80% battery.
  • Disable all antivirus and firewall related tools installed in your computer as then can prevent the rooting process to be done successfully.
  • Enable USB Debugging Mode in your mobile phone (Settings > Applications >Development > USB Debugging).
  • Install all device drivers on your computer from the HTC Website.

Procedure To Root HTC Explorer

Note: We have written each and every step clearly in order to make the update applied successfully but if any wrong step is taken then i will be nt responsible in case your device gets bricked.

  •  Make sure that the bootloader of your HTC Explorer is unlocked.If not then visit HTCDEV and follow instructions.
  • Add recovery to your mobile phone, so that it would be able to install all the Custom ROM’s. Download “A310E Recovery
  • Now, Connect your mobile phone to your computer using the original USB cable and extract the zip file which we had downloaded in the Step 1.
  • Now, Shoot the recovery (.bat) file which would be there in the extracted folder.
  • Now, download the “Superuser Package“ in your computer and transfer the file to the Root of your SD Card.
  • Enable USB Debugging Mode in your mobile phone (Settings > Applications >Development > USB Debugging).
  • Now, Turn off your mobile phone and start it in the Recovery Mode (Volume UP Key + OK button holding both of these press the power button).
  • When, your mobile phone is booted in the Recovery Mode, You need to select “install zip from sd card” and then “choose zip from SD Card” and then choose the superuser package file which you had transferred earlier in your mobile phone. It will take some time to install that file in your mobile phone. Now, select “+++++Go Back++++” then “reboot system now“.

I realise there are a few threads about this, but I thought I would make a new one for to make easier than any other guide, and hopefully people will find it more easily as they won't have to scroll through pages of other threads to find an answer. 
I am now successfully running most apps from my SD Card now. So here is My guide - hope it helps 

Download the SDK from here- Android SDK | Android Developers
downloaded exe file should be installed.
Note: 
basically installed files only in "C:\Program Files "here you find the android folder.
Copy that Android folder to the desktop.
Open the folder on the desktop and open the file, SDK Manager.exe (as no such file as setup.exe exists in the new version of the SDk)
Close the command or windows command prompt window that opens else automatically closes.
Untick all options you are promted to download except ones like the manuals, and Essentially, ensure the USBdriver option is selected or ticked.
Let these files download
Ensure on your phone, USB Debugging is on - Go to Settings/Applications/Development/USB Debugging and ensure its ticked or on.
Open windows command promt. Start / Run

Type in (without quotations) "cmd"
The following should appear. (note its "users" in windows 7, )

15. Type in the following after the ">" at each step (without quotations,and including spaces and capital letters) 

"cd desktop\android\android-sdk\platform-tools" (might be "cd desktop\android-sdk-windows\platform-tools" inwindows 7)
"adb devices"
"adb shell"
A $ sign should pop up
"pm setInstallLocation 2" 
Another $ should pop up

And your done. Close everything, disconnect phone, turn off phone and then turn it back on again. 

16. Now the phone will be set to install all apps you install onto the SD card. However, current apps on phone will mostly still be stored on the internal memory. This process doesn't move these apps for you, it adds the ability. So you must now mannually move those already installed on the phone. 

To do this, go to settings / applications / manage applications
Then you just click on an app, and the move to SD card box should no longer be Grey. So you must now move all the apps you want onto the SD Card.
